Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and EquiMed Hong Kong Limited ("EquiMed," "we," "our," or "us"). By accessing or using the EquiMed website at equimedhk.com or the EquiMed Portal at portal.equimedhk.com (collectively, the "Services"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use our Services.

Access to and use of the Services is limited to individuals who are residents of Hong Kong SAR. By using the Services, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

EquiMed provides a saliva-based health screening platform that analyses biomarkers across multiple disease risk areas. Our Services include the Liva Test kit (a home saliva collection kit), laboratory analysis of your sample, and an online portal providing access to your digital health report and biomarker history.

The Services are designed to assist individuals in understanding general health trends and potential risk indicators. They are not a substitute for professional medical evaluation or clinical diagnosis.

The biomarker results and health reports generated by EquiMed are population-based screening indicators only. They are not equivalent to a clinical diagnosis and should not be used as the sole basis for any medical decision. EquiMed is not a licensed medical provider. If your results indicate an abnormality or you have concerns about your health, please consult a qualified healthcare professional promptly.

To access the EquiMed Portal, you must register for an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

You agree to notify us immediately at general@equimedhk.com of any unauthorised use of your account. EquiMed will not be liable for any loss arising from your failure to safeguard your credentials.

Your health data is stored on Supabase's secure infrastructure, which provides AES-256 encryption at rest and TLS encryption in transit. Access controls are enforced at the database level — only you can access your own health records through your authenticated account.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal health data with third parties for commercial purposes. For full details on how we collect, use, and protect your information, please refer to our Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for following the sample collection instructions provided with your Liva Test kit. Failure to follow instructions correctly may affect the quality and reliability of your results. In such cases, EquiMed reserves the right to request a re-collection or void the affected test.

All samples are processed by our accredited laboratory partners. Results are typically available within 10 business days of sample receipt. Turnaround times are estimates and may vary.

All content, software, logos, trademarks, and materials on the EquiMed platform are the property of EquiMed Hong Kong Limited or its licensors and are protected under applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, EquiMed shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the Services, including but not limited to reliance on any health report, biomarker result, or health recommendation provided through the platform.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the specific test or service giving rise to the claim.

EquiMed reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time without prior notice. We may also update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Services after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Hong Kong SAR. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hong Kong SAR.
